The game (mostly, but not always) allows for two contrastingly different methods of playing. Basically, if you got 100% of any of aforementioned, you get a bonus, helping you reach the coveted high score placings. it goes by how fast you were(basically, if you beat the 'par time', which is the time it took a tester to go through the same level this can be quite fun to try and beat, and with how difficult the levels are to find your way in, they are even challenging after many play-throughs), how much Nazi gold(treasure) you collected and how many bad guys you killed. There is a bonus count after each level is beaten. The game play consists of searching for keys, health and ammo, blasting enemies(aforementioned Nazis, and a "boss enemy" per chapter) of varying difficulty(which, of course, grows as you move further in the game), unlocking doors and looking for secret rooms. If you can get over that, however(and some would suggest that this simplicity only adds to the effect the game has on you), then you've got one heck of a good shooter/sneaking game.

The least detailed of basically any 3D game released by a professional team of creators. The graphics are, as I mentioned before, quite dated and very simple. You fight and search your way through tunnels in order to achieve different objectives for the six episodes(but, let's face it, most of them are just an excuse to hand you a weapon, surround you with Nazis and send you out to waste one of the Nazi leaders). With graphics that are terribly dated today, the game thrusts you into the role of B.J.(don't even *think* I'm going to attempt spelling his last name!), an American P.O.W. It's also one of the first stealth games, one of the only(and definitely the first) truly claustrophobic games, and just a pretty well-rounded gaming experience in general. In the same hallway of the exit door is a final secret, containing a chaingun.Many neglect that this isn't just a classic due to the fact that it's the first 3D game, or even the first shoot-'em-up. The wall can be pushed from two sides, but depending of which side you choose, it will lead you to two different rooms, one filled with ammo clips, the other with med kits.ġ0. It's in the room beyond the gold door, in a left corner. In the room with the gold door, more specifically to the left of the gold door, is a secret wall indicated by a Hitler's poster.ĩ. On both right and left side of the new secret hallway is a secret: both the secrets lead to treasure items.Ĩ. Follow the right hand wall until you discover another secret wall, leading nowhere. Not far from the third secret, still on the left hand wall is a secret revealing lots of ammunitions.ĥ-7 Enter the jagged brown rock maze. Still follow the left hand wall: you'll discover a secret with first aids and lots of treasureĤ. Follow the left hand wall unti you reach the southern side of the maze. You'll now enter the jagged brown rock maze. Walk down the winding hallway until you get to a door. From the start, open the two doors on the left, then the second door on the left side of the room with six doors. Face the alcove with the gold key, turn left, go straightforward and press on the wall.ģ. Follow the first part of the hallway, then turn left, and on the left hand wall is a secret.Ģ. From the start, open the door in front of you, then one of the two doors on the right. Follow it and you'll find the exit door (be careful of the SS behind it).ġ. Once you've killed all the officers, go back to the first hallway and take the third hallway on the right side. On the right side of the last hallway are three more hallways with some more officers (and -guess what.- more Hitler's pictures). On the right side of this hallway are three more hallways with MORE Adolf Hitler's posters (ok, this is really awful) and some officers.
Turn left and you'll see a long hallway with LOTS of Adolf Hitler's posters (my goodness! Was it really that necessary? -Yes, it was). Once you've grabbed the gold key, go back to the starting room and open the door with the gold door inside. Nevertheless, you'll find a conspicuous number of health items. If you want to get 100% kills, treasure and secret, be careful of the enemies inside each room (there are a few) and of the guards that wander the map and that can easily surprise you from behind.
If you don't want to get everything, open one of the doors on the left, then, in the room beyond, the second door on your right, follow the hallway and you'll find the gold key. The first door will take you to a room with six doors, and the same goes for the two doors on your left. This is one of the two maps (the other being Episode 2, Floor 7) which has the shortest Par time in the entire game: one minute.Īt the start, you'll see a door in front of you, two on the left, and one on the right, behind which is the gold door.
